Red and White Food Ideas for Canada Day Canada Flag

Beyond buying red and white cupcakes or cookies, consider some tasty food ideas this Canada Day that are delicious and nutritious.

 

 

 

Watermelon maple leaves

Trim the watermelon and cut into slices. Using a maple leaf cookie cutter, press out the shapes and place into a bowl. Use wood skewers to display your watermelon maple leaves or toss into a fruit salad.

 

Strawberries and vanilla yogurt

Whether you make this combination into a yogurt parfait or have strawberries beside a bowl of yogurt for dipping, this is an easy yet yummy festive dessert or snack.

 

Cherry Tomato, Basil and Bocconcini cheese skewers

Thread a cherry tomato, a basil leaf and a mini bocconcini cheese ball onto skewers. If desired, drizzle with balsamic vinegar and olive oil or leave it plain for a fresh and simple appetizer.
