#ThingsNutritionistsLike – Glass Containers for Lunch Packing
Our Favourite Things – Glass Containers
Planning lunches for my three kids, myself, and occasionally, my husband is one of my least favourite things EVER. I typically start the school year off strong, and then it all falls apart some time in early October.
This year, I decided to purchase some new containers for lunch packing, as many of our previously used containers were showing their age, or missing lids. On a bit of a whim, I picked up a variety of glass containers.
Well, these are the best things ever! My children were sceptical that they would be too heavy to take too and from school, but they have been pleasantly surprised. These containers are great for reheating leftovers. They stack beautifully in the fridge. They hold a perfect serving size of homemade soup in the freezer until my son is ready to take it for his lunch. They are wonderful for tossing in the dishwasher for clean up – which is a huge bonus in a busy household! I can (and do) even cook in them. I frequently dice up vegetables in the morning, toss them into a container, and roast them up in the toaster oven in the Health Stand office for a great lunch.
My whole family has been beyond happy with our small investment in glass containers.
