Inspiration from Dinner and THE Movie
January is always a bit of a bummer. Holiday season is over. Everyone is a little lighter in the wallet and it’s time to get back on track with eating, cooking, cleaning, errands, work, school and driving kids to their activities. It can be hard to carry on with our regular routine. For us, this means hockey and ringette practices and games, meal planning, grocery shopping, making lunches… all quite daunting post-vaycay.
It is the time of year where we may need a bit of help to get things going. One of my new favorite things to be inspired about cooking is a Facebook page called Tasty. My son tuned me into this and they have amazing videos that truly do the trick to get anyone excited to try new recipes which may even lead you to making creations on your own.
I have tried a few selections, which have been mouth-wateringly delicious. Even if you are not a great cook, the segments are amazing to watch and are brilliantly designed to show how easy it can be; mind you the videos don’t show the prep or clean up, and they are in fast motion! But seriously… check out the Tasty Facebook page and get inspired!
As for THE movie.. it goes without saying that my favorite movie pick is the new flick, Star Wars, The Force Awakens. The experience of seeing it in IMAX with my family on vacation was epic. This has nothing to do with dinner, but it too was incredibly inspiring!
Bottom line, my take-home inspirational messages are as follows:
- Check out Tasty (the one pot pad Thai is delicious!)
- See Star Wars, The Force Awakens
May the force be with you.
