Similar to Sherene Sieben’s favourite thing in our previous newsletter, I have a love for kitchen gadgets that can multi-task. However, with the heat we’ve had in the last few weeks, I also adore things that help keep my kitchen COOL in the summer.
Enter the rice cooker… for things other than rice!
Seriously. I make old fashioned rolled oats in mine, which is great for busy school mornings with my children. I also use it for making quinoa, or pearled barley, which I put into salads in summer time, all while NOT turning on a burner and heating up the kitchen.
