A few weeks ago we attended a 60th birthday party for my husband’s good friend David. Even though my husband Mike is 20 years younger than him, David and Mike are best buddies. This has lots to do with the fact that they challenge one another to do better in both life as well as in their shared passion for cycling.
What is interesting about the party was that half of the attendees were cyclists (or evidently active) while the other half were less fit 60 year olds that couldn’t imagine spending hours on a road bike or seeking adventure on a mountain bike or winter fat bike like David does. I am sure most people that attended the party noticed the “youthfulness” difference between the groups.
If you haven’t been taking care of your body the way you want to, I want to challenge you to do better this year. Find someone who inspires you with their health, eating habits or fitness and spend more time with them. Who you spend time with matters for your health.
