Success Stories
“My immediate impression of the cooking class was exactly what we wanted – very practical and easy to implement on our own. No fancy chef knowledge required. The food tasted great! Too often cooking seems complicated so you might decide to order in or make a real basic meal. This cooking was easy, quick, and was delicious. I now have the confidence to prepare simple delicious meals. My instructor was fantastic, very fun, professional, knowledgeable, and easy to follow. I received great value for what I paid for and full-heartedly recommend these cooking classes. My favourite part was tasting the results! Overall I learned how simple and quick it can be to prepare great quality meals.”

“We very much enjoyed the virtual cooking class. Shauna was very organized, but also very relaxed and friendly. I really appreciated that in the time we had her, we managed to make three different vegan recipes. We liked how she explained what she was doing and why (e.g. the importance of pressing tofu thoroughly). Taking this class showed us how delicious and nutritious vegan cooking could be and really motivated us to try other vegan recipes.
Thanks!”

“Before the cooking class, our family struggled with kid involvement in preparing meals, and they often didn’t want to eat what was prepared for them. The cooking class was really fun for the kids! Even my least enthusiastic “chef” was excited to present dinner after the cooking class and all of my kids were talking about what recipe they should try next! Our instructor was really enthusiastic and encouraging during the class. She addressed the kids by name, assigned age appropriate jobs, and gave suggestions to what they could do while waiting for their siblings to catch up. The cooking class has wonderful value to any family who may be struggling with lack of enthusiasm at meal times. Having it in our home with our own tools was really helpful too so that my kids gained confidence to try something again in the future.”

“The class was engaging and well organized. I was worried it wouldn’t keep the boys, aged 10, engaged as it was on-line, but they loved it! Our instructor had a good balance of recipe direction, kitchen skill development and also dietary instruction to keep it interesting for them. I booked the class for my son who is just learning to take more responsibility on the kitchen for fixing his own snacks. He is picky and anxious about trying new foods. Our instructor was accommodating and gave him tips about ensuring a meal is balanced even when we are being selective. She encouraged him to try new things and he did! My son and his friend were excited by being able to cook an entire meal by themselves. It gave them more confidence. The openness to having multiple kids attend the session made it a very affordable option and ensured it was a fun and social experience.“
