What is your background as a Registered Dietitian?
I’m a Registered Dietitian with experience across oncology, long-term care, rehabilitation, and private practice. A large part of my work has been supporting people through complex health conditions, whether that means navigating nutrition during cancer treatment, preventing malnutrition, supporting healthy aging, or helping someone rebuild their relationship with food. I’m passionate about making evidence-based nutrition practical, culturally inclusive, and realistic for everyday life.
What is your favourite part of being a Dietitian?
The human connection. Food is so much more than nutrients, it’s culture, family, comfort, memories, and quality of life. I love being able to take nutrition science and translate it into something that genuinely fits into a person’s life. Sometimes the most meaningful part of my job is simply helping someone feel a little less overwhelmed about food during an already difficult time.

What is one myth that you want to clear up about Dietitians?
That Dietitians are perfect eaters; we eat food for joy as well. For me what you eat consistently matters far more than any single food or meal.
What is your favourite soulful food chosen for taste, enjoyment, and social fun?
Corn made any way, loaded, dipped in butter, turned into a cheesy dip.
What is your favourite nerdy nutritious food chosen for health?
Greek yogurt! It’s one of those foods my Dietitian brain loves, protein, calcium, versatility, and an easy way to add nutrition to meals or snacks.

What is something that people may not know about you?
I’m a bit of an adventurer outside of work! I love travelling, photography, exploring local markets and grocery stores when I’m abroad, and discovering how different cultures connect through food.
I’m also an introvert at heart, so after all that exploring, I’m equally happy recharging at home with a quiet evening.
I can make you proud of any shopping purchase. I have a bit of a crazy obsession with flowers and sunsets.
My nephew can make me do anything, good thing he does not talk yet!
