Recently, we asked the Registered Dietitians at Health Stand Nutrition to share their favourite 10 minute breakfast ideas.
From Richelle Tabelon: whole grain bagel with ricotta cheese, tomato and ground pepper. Bagels toast up quickly, and the ricotta cheese spreads nicely on the bagel and pairs nicely with fresh tomato.
From Deb Lounsbury: One of my favorite breakfasts is cinnamon raisintoast with almond butter with a bowl of greek yogurt topped with ground flaxseed, hemp hearts, walnuts, blueberries and strawberries. And of course a coffee and small OJ!
From Jana Spindler: Sometime I cook my oatmeal with egg whites (when I don’t have time to cook eggs separately) and frozen berries (I like raspberries best). And then I top it with nut butter and/ or coconut/hemp hearts.
It is quick and works for a non dairy protein source. Bananas are also a delicious addition.
