Creamy Garlic ‘Caesar-ish’ Salad Dressing Recipe Print
This salad is similar to a Caesar salad dressing but has a twist of ingredients. Enjoy as a side salad or for a complete meal toss in grilled chicken, sliced steak or chick peas and serve with a side of whole grain garlic toast.
Makes 8 side servings
What you need:
1 head romaine lettuce
Cubes of bread (optional if making croutons)
1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese
1/2 – 1 clove garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp milk
2 tbsp parmesan cheese
Pepper and salt
How you prepare:
Wash and tear lettuce into a large bowl.
Brush bread with oil and cut into cubes. Bake in the oven until crispy.
Puree all the remaining ingredients in a food processor or blender and toss salad. Sprinkle with extra parmesan cheese and croutons.
